Officer Sheaks treats people detained at North Lake in aggressive, racist and capricious ways, singling out Black people in detention for the most dehumanizing treatment. When one man stood up to Sheaks’s verbal abuse, he shoved him into his cell, slammed the door on on his hand, and slapped him. This facility must be closed.
